This is the 2nd year I've purchased an InCharacter costume, and just like last year, I'm completely happy with the purchase (except it would have been nice if this came with vampire teeth). These costumes are perfect for ladies who want coverage, live in cooler climates, or who aren't real thin. I'm a size 12 and got the Large and it fit very well, with room to spare. Very nice quality fabric for a costume. Be advised that it is Dry Clean Only for the dress. The undergarment/crinoline can be washed.

1. Fun Costume...Sizes Run Smalll!
I just received this costume and upon looking at it I realized it was going to be WAY too small! I normally wear a size 8 or 10 dress depending on the style and most of my t-shirts are sized medium. Based on their measurement guide and their description the medium should have been correct however it was a bit tight. I would have had a hard time zipping it up. They advertised their M as more on the L side and really it's probably more on the S side (think Junior's section at your local department store).

The costume is very cool though and so I re-ordered it in the larger size and I can't wait to wear it! This costume came with the Hat, neck cover, gloves, dress and leggings. I thought it was a good price for all that and I would recommend it!

2. Great looking costume but not the best quality!
I love the costume, but it runs extremely small. I wear a size 6. I ordered the Large costume and it just fits, if I gain any weight it will be too tight. The first time I unzipped it to try it on, I put the zipper all the way down. I couldn't get the zipper to budge to go back up and when I finally did, the zipper was broken. Be aware that the zipper is really cheap quality. I was going to exchange it, but I think the same thing might happen with another one so I'm going to get the zipper replaced on my own. It's a great looking costume and if you are going to be the wicked Theodora this is the only one out there.

I have been looking for this costume in all Halloween stores. However, I couldn't find it. Luckily Amazon.com has it! I tried on the regular costume and it looks cheap! For this reason I decided to buy the deluxe. I opened it and love the details! It's a very good quality costume for the money! However, just like another reviewer said, the hat is too small! For that reason, I purchased the Elope Wicked Witch Deluxe Hat. One thing to keep in mind, I am a size 6 and bought size small. However, I have a curvy figure and just like I suspected, the costume does not fit my hips! The top fits and looks perfect! I decided not to return it to get a bigger size. I decided to exercise and lose the extra pounds that I should've lost a while back. The reason why it doesn't fit is that the top has a stretchy back so it contours with your figure. Here are my comments on screen accuracy, fit, material and workmanship. Check out my uploaded photo.

Screen accuracy:
If you guys haven't realized it, the 'pattern' on the uniforms of the ST:XI movie are actually Starfleet logos, which is what this costume has! Awesome! Otherwise, the material is thinner compared to the screen version so it doesn't really 'hang properly' like it does on Uhura. Then again, I'm unlikely to be jettisoned in as escape pod by Spock, so I don't think it's going to be a problem.

Fit:
I'm 5'7" and measure 39-29-42. I bought a medium, based on the previous customer's reviews. The bust and hips fit well but the waist is rather loose. It would be possible to take it in a couple of inches, but despite the 'looseness' at the waist, the dress is very flattering! Since it is not made of stretchable material and it doesn't have a zipper, I am quite happy leaving it as it is. Like the previous reviews, I must admit that this dress is...

2. Great condition, but runs big.
I really had fun with this outfit. It arrived promptly and in good condition. The only downside is that the dress does tend to run a bit on the larger side. I'm a size 4 normally and the small was roomy. The uniform dresses were supposed to fit snugly, so I would recommend buying a size smaller than you normally wear.

Searching the internet for a medieval outfit to wear for an upcoming Medieval-themed wedding, I repeatedly found this same costume on numerous websites at an amazingly wide price range! Amazon's price was better by far than any I found. The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that it runs VERY small, so one should order a size up. Fortunately, the merchant must have been aware of this, as they substituted the next larger size than the one I ordered. When I saw this on the confirmation, I complained and was told they would be happy to provide a return label when I received the dress. Fortunately, I tried it on when it arrived and found it fit as the size ordered should. The dress is really quite attractive. It is well-made and comfortable, and the fabrics used are of acceptable quality. Accessorizing it with the right jewelry creates an opulent outfit for this special occasion.

2. Excellent for RenFaires and For Halloween
This costume stays true to size due to its stretchy material. Lightweight fabric, well constructed, looks stunning on my friend who will attend the RenFaire with me. Probably will need hemming, but all of five different costumes I purchased for my friends for RenFaire need hemming, save for one friend who is 5'10". The sleeves have an interesting item - little rings at the end of the sleeves so you can wrap the sleeves around your finger for full show.

I found this dress to be nicer then the picture shows, and the detailing really makes it look nicer then most halloween renaissance dresses. For the price, you can't beat it. I purchase this dress and was able to wear the (M) even at four month pregnant, I'm 5'9 - 150 pounds normally) so the sizing it doesn't run small like many costumes.

This outfit runs small...I am a size 10 and I ordered this in a Large because I was scared it would be kind of small...but I think an XL would have fit a little better. It also has a cord that runs through the bottom of the slip that I had to take out several times for the skirt to stand out. It is a very beautiful dress though!!!

I was very pleased with this costume. I thought it looked beautiful and was made well. I used it for a Valentines Day Event and thought it looked professional and impressive. Not so regal Queen of Hearts
I had to pay 25 extra pounds for custom release which I was not told about when I purchased it. When the dress arrived I thougtht the packaging was good but when I took the dress out, two of the seams where ripped and one seam was frayed. The lace collar would not stand up and the hoop which came with the dress would not go into a circle but kept going into a spiral despite numerous attempts from different people including a material shop porprieter to insert it into the underskirt, so as well as having to pay for the customs charge I had to have the dress mended and buy a hoop. Although everyone at the fancy dress party thought the dress was amazing if I had known all the extra expence, time and stress it caused me I would not have bought it

I chose this costume based on the fact that the costume manufacturer had an available on-line sizing guide. The costume fit really well and according to the specs. The material was nicer than I expected... the bodice is fake leather and the tie in front is a simple ribbon rather than a cord, but it is solidly made and I'll be able to use it for a couple of years rather than just the two halloween events I have planned this year.

I was hesitant to order this because of the reviews that said it ran small. I am unhappily on the larger side after having my kids and wear a size 16 pants. I ordered the XXL hoping for the best and it fit well! I have worn it to a ren fair and a halloween party and intend to wear it to another ren fair in the spring. It is very cute for the money and I am glad I took the chance and ordered it! I did replace the gold ribbon lace with a brown cord that looked much better. Also, I did need to pin the belt as it would not have stayed on otherwise.

1. Doubt the picture is made out of the same fabric
The fabric used is the type that sticks to itself. When I first opened the packed ALL the fringes were stuck together creating numerous knots. I still haven't been able to undo them all and as I finish one section of 1 row, the previous sections starts to get tangled up again. Hopefully before Halloween I'll be able to figure out some way to prevent the fringes from tackling together because at the moment, it is unwearable.

The material is cheap itchy material. It looks nothing like the picture. Fits very awkward and i returned it. Very disappointing.

Pretty good outfit
I took a chance & got a medium. Thankfully worked out for what I wanted to use out fit for. I had my own accessories so pretty much wanted the dress. The accessories that does come with the dress are a tad bigger or longer than expected. I haven't tried the foot wear since it's winter & cold in MN. I'll be wearing winter brown furry boots out door & nude ballet slippers in door. Anyway other than the accessories love the dress.

I loved this costume. It doesn't look cheap (unlike most store-bought outfits) and it fit pretty well.
The only thing I would recommend would be to order it at least 3 weeks ahead of time. I ordered this 11 days before Halloween and didn't get it until the day of- and the package tracker was useless.
All in all I loved the outfit, got a lot of complements on it and would order from them again.

2. Disappointed:(
I ended up returning this costume because the head piece doesn't match the online photo nor the packaging insert photograph. I called the manufacturer about it and all I got was an apology that they have cheapened the headpiece. What you will receive is a headpiece that has nine snakes with no fangs or tongues visible. The gold decorations are smaller and there are more of them to compensate for the lesser amount of snakes. Bummed about the headpiece because the rest of the costume was pretty great!

Got so many compliements loved it!
This costume was so fun to wear! I got so many compliments. It is unique and flattering without being slutty. The dress fit great. The only thing were the accessories. The arm sleeves kept slipping off. The head piece looked awesome, but I wore a wig and used bobby pins to help hold it on my head. Sometimes though that wasn't enough and I had to stop to make adjustments, but for the most part it stayed on. I purchased a long black wavy wig with green and purple streaks separately. It just complimented the costume so well. I didn't even use the leg ties, but I thought the costume looked great without them. Probably the best costume I've had so far.

This is a very well made product. It is just a wonderfull looking dress. I bought the XL in the adult it said it would fit a 14 to 18. This is not even close. The slip has no give at all. The dress has only maybe an inch of give. The size is a lot smaller than any normal XL. Just make sure you buy it at least two or three sizes to big and it should fit perfectly. I would deffinatly buy again. Just a bigger size.

2. Not What I expected and I'm dissappointed
I couldn't wait to wear this costume today for our company's Halloween party. A word to the wise . . . try it on! I ordered the correct size based on the company's sizing chart, but it didn't fit me at all (too small). I was actually hoping it wasn't going to be too big because I ordered a size bigger than I normally would have.

This is a really cool costume, but to say that it is sized too small is an understatement. I was really disappointed when I had to go to the party with no costume. :-(

Now, for Halloween, I have to go through the trouble of sending this back and finding a last minute Halloween costume for Saturday (today is Thursday). I am not a happy camper.

This dress really is a nice quality, the entire costume in fact. It even comes with a petticoat. It says I ordered an 8-10, which originally I did because I read the size issues after the order. But I called the company right after that and changed the order to a 12-14. The 12-14 fits me but is really tight so usually I am a 10-12 size I should have gone with the 16 I guess. Wow, lol. So great quality but be really carful what size you order.

I wore this costume for two very special events where everyone was dressed in disquise. My two little girls were also dressed as Cinderellas (the ballet dress type, not the usual long cinderella dresses) and my husband was a pirate :) This is not anything like the flimsy halloween costumes stores sell around halloween time. It seems from a higher quality than any of the costumes i own (and i have quite a collection). The fabric feels like it is the type used for a real dress from the renessance period and the design is just superb. The way it just hugs your body and fits was just amazing. I substituted the black choker for a set of white pearls and wore the dress with high heeled boots (so it wouldn't drag on the floor). I also put the hoop thing away as it was making it hard for me to fit between the kids and just wore the white petticoats that came with the dress. Those were enough to give it the bubble effect on the photo. There were people "oohing" and "wowing" and the...

2. Like A Fairytale!!!
This costume is absolutely BREATHTAKING!!! The quality is outstanding! When I initially opened the shipping box, I knew it was NOT like ordinary costumes just by looking at it. And once I picked it up, I could feel that it was not like the costumes I've bought in the past. First of all, it was heavier than I expected which told me that I wasn't dealing with flimsy material/fabric. Secondly, when I actually took it out of the garment bag, that it comes in, I could 'see' the difference. As the other reviewers described it, the dress is 'real'! It's not like your store bought $19.99-$79.99 costume. You can feel and see the quality instantly! I bought this dress for two occasions...Halloween and Carnevale (in Venice). Although Hallloween is a few months away and Carnevale is next year, I can tell you now that it wilL be a huge Hit! The Costume itself is very pretty. it's comfortable and details are fairly true to the picture. The bust portion of the costume however is ill-fitting. the straps are behind the shells not on them so there is nothing holding the shell up and a female bust can easily fall out, even if the fitting guidelines are followed. Very pretty costume and I really wish it fit better on the top bust/sea shell area. I bought the item but because it did not fit well at all on top I did not feel comfortable wearing it so i returned it for a refund. 2. It was so Hot!
I had to perform as a mermaid in a community performance with several other adults and my costume was a show stopper. I had other women come up to me and tell me I looked so "HOT". At my age I can't remember the last time someone, including my husband, has said that. I am so glad I purchased from your company. The event raised over $10,000. for our local Chamber of Commerce scholership fund. It was worth every penny I paid and would go to you in a heart beat again if I needed a specialty item. I looked and felt amazing. Thank you for such a superior peoduct! The others in our act also wore costumes from your company. We were one of the hits of the show. WOW what a night. I took a big chance to show my stuff and I felt beautiful and everyone said I looked beautiful.

Excellent Quality and Detail
Purchased this costumue for Halloween this year. It is nicer than I expected. The colours are very vibrant. The 'blue' colour is more of a dark teal colour and the 'bottom' tulle is a rich teal colour as well, no turoquoise as seen in the picture. The side straps on the halter top do not offer much support however. The straps will have to be altered for me or perhaps sew in a strapless bra. The costume is very easy to walk in. The head band style decoration - sparkly star does not lay flat on the head (read this in another review) so needs to be taken apart and reglued ( easy fix)! Also, I was worried as I read in another review that the back of the costume was solid black or blue. - not true! The back is as vibrant as the front! All around a perfect costume!

1. Good Quality and Fit
Ordered this costume and received it 3 days later for a family/friends Halloween party. All pieces were there. Costume is actually well constructed and made of durable materials. The bustier is made of velvet and is attached to the skirt (which is a shiny material). The dress zips in the back, zipper was easy to use. The belt is removable and attaches in the back with velcro. The arm shields are a soft but thick material which was a bit big on my arms. The headband attaches with velcro, is a soft material, looks cute and actually stays on really well. The boot stockings were a bit loose, I am not sure I will use them. They appear to be a shiny material in the picture but mine are the same velvet as the bustier dress. The cape is very light so it doesn't choke but looks really cute. I am 5'3, 125 lbs, usually a size 6/small and the size small fit with a little extra room (It would fit perfect if it was taken in just a touch, but if it stays this way then I have plenty of...

2. Good costume
This is a good costume, but beware of the sizing. It runs INCREDIBLY large. I wear a size 7 and I had to get this costume in extra small. If you are smaller than a size 5, this costume might be too big for you.

I got this for $40 on Amazon, as opposed to Ricky's (or similar) that charge up to $80. I'm 5'8", 150lbs, dress size 8-10, 36DD. The medium fit me pretty well...I think the small would be too tight around my chest. I may need to pin it slightly at the back (covered by cape) just to insure no slippage. The whole outfit is VERY shiny but looks the part. The belt, cape, wrist bands and headband are flimsy but fun...you are really paying for the dress. I bought separate boots like the ones the model is wearing (you can get them on Amazon for $30) The boot tops that come with the costume are more like cheap legwarmers. I also got an official WW wig on Amazon for $25. Recommend good skin colored tights (try American Apparel) Gold/Yellow rope for lasso (hardware store) Red nail polish and red earrings..good to go!!!
